Here's some of the photo's that vanished from my earlier post.
I'm not even going to try and add captions as that's how it all started going badly wrong last time.
Enjoy!

Loynton Moss

This afternoon we visited Loynton Moss, one of our favourite places in Staffordshire, unfortunately we don't get there often enough.
Loynton Moss was the first Nature reserve acquired by the the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. It was formed at the end of the ice age when large blocks of ice broke away from retreating glaciers which then sank forming large depressions which in turn formed small lakes. Now the moss is a mass of reeds and vegetation floating over water like a large raft. The path around the moss is through the surrounding woodlands.

This silver birch was growing out of the trunk of an old tree.
I would have liked to have written more but blogger doesn't seem to want to make things easy anymore, it has taken over two hours to load these photo's and write these few words, photo's would disappear or move position. So after three attempts at loading photo's I have decided to call it a day. Hopefully you get the idea, and can see how special Loynton Moss is.
